Abstract
This research paper analyzes the different methods to recycle lithium ion batteries.Recycling is a major concern these days .It is very important to recycle as this helps to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions, save energy, prevent pollution, conserve natural resources and tackle the climate change.If we do not recycle this could be a threat to our environment and our future generations. As the use of lithium ion batteries in electric vehicles has started to rise sharply it is necessary to recycle them or this could be dangerous for us .In this paper i compared different techniques of lithium ion battery recycling like hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, solvometallurgy, mechanical recycling to find out the most efficient way to do so.
